Ukrainian soprano Evelina Liubonko is an opera and concert artist based in Germany, performing at major European venues including the Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonie Essen, Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, and Tiroler Festspiele Erl.
Recent seasons have brought collaborations with leading ensembles such as the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, RIAS Kammerchor, Thüringen Philharmonie, and Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.

Ukrainian-born soprano Evelina Liubonko began her musical education with piano and opera singing studies at the College of Music Arts in Khmelnytskyi, later continuing at the Lviv National Academy of Music in Ukraine.
In 2020, she moved to Germany to pursue her Master’s degree in Gesang–Musiktheater at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, studying with Prof. Siegfried Gohritz and completing her concert exam under Prof. Silke Evers-Osthoff. She is currently based in Germany, performing regularly at opera houses and concert venues across England, Ukraine, Poland, Italy, France, and Germany. She has appeared as a guest artist at numerous prestigious concert halls and theatres, including the Lviv Organ Hall (Ukraine, 2019); Filharmonia Zielonogórska (Poland, 2020); Filharmonia Częstochowska (Poland, 2020); Lviv National Philharmonic (Ukraine, 2020–2021); Theater Magdeburg (Germany, 2022); Theater Chemnitz (Germany, 2022); Dukes Hall, Royal Academy of Music (England, 2023); Theater Erfurt (Germany, 2023); Theater Rudolstadt (Germany, 2024); Theater Nordhausen (Germany, 2024); Philharmonie Essen (Germany, 2024); Konzerthaus Berlin (Germany, 2024); Tiroler Festspiele Erl (Austria, 2025); and Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar (Germany, 2025). She has collaborated with leading orchestras and ensembles, including the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, INSO-Lviv Orchestra, Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Zielonogórskiej, Lemberg Art Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Khmelnytsky Philharmonic, Ensemble Mare Nostrum, Thüringen Philharmonie, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, and RIAS Kammerchor. Her festival appearances include Gluck Festspiele, Rheingau Musik Festival, Festival du Périgord Noir, and the Güldener Herbst Early Music Festival. Her operatic repertoire is wide-ranging, with roles such as Elisetta in Il matrimonio segreto (Cimarosa, Ukraine, 2017), Madam Herz in Der Schauspieldirektor (Mozart, Ukraine, 2019), Aretea in Alcide (Bortniansky, Ukraine, 2019), Serpina in La serva padrona (Pergolesi, Ukraine, 2020), Eurydice in Orpheus (Telemann, Germany, 2021), Clori in La Forza delle Stelle (Stradella, Italy, 2022), Merione in Telemaco (Gluck, Germany, 2023), Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart, Germany, 2024), Blumenmädchen in Parsifal (Wagner, Austria, 2025), and Tragödie/Proserpina in Euridice (Peri, Germany, 2025). Alongside her operatic work, Evelina is an active concert and oratorio soloist. Her repertoire includes Bach’s Mass in B minor (Germany, 2019); Beethoven’s Christ on the Mount of Olives and Mass in C major (Ukraine, 2020); Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (Poland, 2020); Hasse’s oratorio Sanctus Petrus et Sancta Maria Magdalena (France, 2021); Bach Cantatas BWV 24 and BWV 75 (England, 2023); Handel’s Messiah and Dixit Dominus; Bach’s Magnificat and Cantata BWV 127; Fazıl Say’s Goethe Lieder for soprano and orchestra, Op. 44 (Germany, 2023); Zelenka’s Miserere ZWV 57; Durante’s Magnificat (Germany, 2024); and many others. Evelina has enriched her artistic development through participation in distinguished academies, including Europa Chor Akademie Görlitz (since 2019), Opera Academy “Coloratura Opera Lab” in collaboration with the Lviv National Opera (Ukraine, 2020), Académie Baroque Internationale du Périgord Noir (France, 2021), and the Akademie für Alte Musik Graz (Austria, 2023). She has also worked with renowned artists in masterclasses, including Kaludi Kaludov, Janice and Jonathan Alder, Piero Giuliacci, Gerhard Kahry, Magdalena Renwart, Giulio Zappa, Olga Pasichnyk, Iñaki Encina, Anne Sofie von Otter, Emma Kirkby and Filippo Morace. Her achievements have been recognized with several awards and scholarships, including the Presidential Scholarship of Ukraine for Young Artists (2021), the Charlotte-Krupp Scholarship from the Neue Liszt Stiftung (2021–2022), and support from the Norbert Janssen Stiftung. Today, Evelina Liubonko continues to develop a growing international career, performing widely across Europe in both opera and concert repertoire. |
